DESCRIPTION:Barnet Council in collaboration with the #Slow Ways walking network and Barnet artist and #London National Park City Ranger Becky Lyon @elastic_fiction is pleased to announce the second in a series of artist led walks. \nJoin Becky as she guides you through these picturesque paths that connect main Finchley Central with other Town Centres in Barnet\, teaching you how to ‘see through an artist’s eyes’. These routes are perfect when you have some extra time or prefer an alternative to public transport and join up with the #The Finchley Feast Food Trail. The first route is a 2.5 hour guided walk and art workshop from Whetstone to Finchley Central. \n  \nThis activity is delivered in collaboration with Barnet Council as part of the Finchley Central Town Centres Placemaking strategy and the Barnet Active Travel Initiative. DESCRIPTION:As part of Barnet’s Summer of Fun\, we are hosting the first ever Barnet Pride in the Park event from 12noon to 4pm on Sunday 20 August. This event\, being organised jointly by the council and a range of community groups and other partners including Middlesex University\, Inkluder and the Barnet Refugee Welcome Board\, will take place in Victoria Park in Finchley (N3 2EB). \nThis family friendly event\, organised to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community in the borough\, is set to include a range of fun activities including arts and crafts\, a performance stage with a range of entertainment acts\, and various food and drink options.
